Frantic search launched for Bridge of Allan walker reported missing at Glencoe

A missing hillwalker from Bridge of Allan has sparked a frantic search mission after he failed to return home after a trip to Glencoe.

Police in the Highlands are looking to trace David Low, who went missing on Wednesday.

Mr Low is believed to have left his car, a 2005 black Land Rover Defender, in the Three Sisters carpark around 9am on Wednesday (March 2).

The 47-year-old, from Bridge of Allan, is a keen walker but the details of his route are unknown.

He is described as six feet three inches tall and was likely wearing a two tone blue waterproof jacket or khaki green puffer jacket and would have been carrying a black rucksack with an orange trim.

Inspector Ross McCartney, of Highland and Islands Police Division, said: “David’s family are becoming increasingly concerned. It’s out of character for him not to come home after a walk and not to be in touch with his partner while out.

“I would ask anyone who has information on the whereabouts of David or believes they may have seen him at any time since Wednesday to please contact police on 101, quoting reference number 3435 of March 2.”
