A missing Scots schoolgirl has been found after a frantic search was launched following her disappearance yesterday.
Lara Tomescu, 13, had been last seen at around 10am on Thursday January 12 at Loudon Street in Strathaven, South Lanarkshire. The teenager had not been seen or heard from since.
Lara is described as 5ft 1in and with blonde hair.
When last seen, she was wearing a black puffer jacket, black leggings and Dr Marten boots.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We can confirm Lara Tomescu, 13, who had been reported missing from Strathaven has been traced safe and well.
"Thank you to everyone who helped with our earlier appeal."
