A missing man from North Yorkshire who was last traced in Scotland has links to South Ayrshire, police have confirmed.
An urgent appeal has been launched for Will Stevenson who disappeared from south of the border last night.
Will was reported missing by worried family members after vanishing from Topcliffe near Thirsk around 11.26pm on Monday night and concerns are growing for his safety.
The last reported sighting of Will was around 10.20pm in the Northallerton area.
Detectives investigating his disappearance fear he may have driven to Dumfries and Galloway after they believe his car was spotted from around 1am on Tuesday morning, having travelled west via the A66.
Ayrshire Police have today shared an appeal from North Yorkshire Police confirming that Will has links to Dumfries and Galloway and South Ayrshire.
A photograph of Will has been shared and residents have been asked to look out for the 53-reg Ford Fiesta between Northallerton and Dumfries and Galloway.
Anyone who has any information has been urged to report it to police on 999 and they have been asked to quote reference NYP-12122022-0431.
