Comedian Frankie Boyle and writer Irvine Welsh are among those who have signed an open letter backing anti-racism protests in Erskine.
The Express told earlier this week that a mass demonstration is being organised in Erskine this weekend amid calls from the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) for workers and the wider public to “drive nazi-hatred off our streets”.
The event has been organised with the aim of countering racially-motivated protests being held outside the Muthu Glasgow River Hotel since February.
