The UK’s favourite Peter Kay comedy sketch of all time is Garlic Bread, according to a new poll. Italian American restaurant Frankie & Benny’s commissioned the survey to celebrate Peter Kay’s UK stand-up tour.
Two thousand British fans voted and the nation’s favourite comedy sketch about a dad’s disbelief that there’s such a thing as Garlic Bread topped the poll. The comedy fans polled were shown a list of Peter’s best loved moments and asked to vote for their favourites, creating a top twenty list of Peter Kay sketches of all time.
The poll saw over a third (33%) of all fans vote for Garlic Bread but it was closely followed by Misheard Lyrics (I Believe The Hot Dogs Will Go On - rather than My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion) and That’ll be £3.42, Would You Like the 42p?!
