Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner will pick strongest squad for Mainz clash ahead of Rangers Europa League final

Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner reveals squad plans ahead of Rangers Europa League final

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT boss Oliver Glasner has revealed he plans to pick his strongest team for their meaningless final game before they play Rangers in the Europa League Final.

Rangers face the German side a week on Wednesday in the Seville showdown and have two more Premiership games to play this week.

Eintracht have just one - a local derby away to Mainz on Saturday - in a match that counts for very little with Eintracht currently in a lowly 12th spot.

But boss Glasner has vowed to treat the match like the Europa League Final.

He said: "We want to be at our best in Seville, but we will use the game in Mainz as a dress rehearsal.

"So I intend to pick my strongest team possible. We will go all out for a win before the Rangers game."

And Eintracht sporting director Markus Krosche reckons they will take double the amount of supporters to Seville than they took to their famous win in Barcelona.

The German club had 30,000 fans in the Nou Camp for their quarter final win, with an estimated 20,000 more in the city of Barcelona.

He said: "Our fans are incredibly resourceful. They will find a way to get tickets. "There will be at least double the number who were in Barcelona. I think we will have incredible support in Seville.

"Rangers are a great team, but we won't do anything differently in preparation for the final. Our coaching team are excellently prepared for every opponent.

"The final will be extraordinary. These are experiences you won't forget. This final is a milestone, and not just in terms of sport. That will help us in general in terms of the future direction of the club. Not only the sporting value, but also how our fans appear, is a huge added value for the image of the club.

"The bonuses for the players have already been decided too. No player will be knocking on my door before the final."
