Jamie O’Hara has told Frank Lampard that Chelsea will have 'no chance' against Real Madrid unless he reverts to a back-five. Carlo Ancelotti will welcome the Blues to the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday evening as either side hopes to return to winning ways.
Both Chelsea and Real Madrid head into the blockbuster clash followings defeats at the weekend; the west London outfit lost 1-0 to Wolves, while Villarreal waltzed away from the Spanish capital 3-2 victors. The Blues failed to impress at Molineux after Lampard chose to move away from a back-five and instead field a back-four.
Speaking on talkSPORT, O’Hara slammed the Chelsea caretaker manager for disregarding the progress Graham Potter had made on the pitch. The former Blues boss had typically used a back-five to get the best from Reece James and Ben Chilwell at wing-back.

"It was embarrassing to watch," the former Tottenham midfielder said. "It literally looked like Frank Lampard had never watched Chelsea play football before this season.
"Graham Potter’s been playing 3-4-3, and you can argue that your best two players are Ben Chilwell and Reece James, that’s where you’re most effective. He plays four at the back, Reece James can’t get up the pitch
"For me, it just looked like an arrogant performance from Chelsea and Frank Lampard, and I don’t know what he’s seen. As much as Graham Potter was a disaster, at least he knew what kind of worked for Chelsea. What I saw against Wolves on Saturday – you’ve got no chance against Real Madrid."
O'Hara is not the only pundit who thinks that the west London outfit could suffer defeat to Real Madrid – so does Paul Merson. Speaking Sky Sports following Chelsea's loss to Wolves, the former Arsenal midfielder said: "There was no urgency.
"They never went out and moved the ball quickly. It was very slow. For about 15 minutes in the second half, they really moved it quickly, and they were going through Wolves without making any chance.
"My only benefit of the doubt is they’re waiting for Wednesday night. That is the only thing I can think of. If they turn up like that on Wednesday night it will be pointless going to the second leg. It could be a cricket score."
