Boreham Wood manager Luke Garrard has revealed the text message he received from Everton boss Frank Lampard before he took his non-league side to Goodison Park for a big FA Cup tie.
National League outfit Boreham Wood stunned Championship high flyers Bournemouth in the fourth round to set up the last-16 showdown at Premier League Everton on Thursday.
And the day after the 2-1 victory at Bournemouth, Garrard revealed the details of a text he received from former Chelsea and England star Lampard.
"Hi Luke, Frank Lampard here," the text read.

"Just wanted to congratulate you on the result yesterday. Purely on a coach to coach level, I could see what it meant to you and that's why we do the job! Some achievement from you and the lads.
"Don't normally touch base like this before games but just wanted to say that I, and we as a club, will make you all very welcome when you come to Goodison.
"Hopefully not too welcome when the game starts.
"Look forward to seeing you. Frank."
Boreham Wood's warm welcome did extend to the pitch for 45 minutes on Thursday as Everton were unable to break down their fifth-tier opponents in a frustrating first half.
But with Brazil international Richarlison called off the bench, the Blues improved after the break and a brace from Salomon Rondon secured a 2-0 victory and a quarter-final trip to top-flight rivals Crystal Palace.
