Former Everton and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been spotted in public for the first time since his sacking.
The iconic former midfielder lost his job at Goodison Park last week following a 2-0 defeat to relegation rivals West Ham. With a few days having now passed since he left Merseyside, Lampard has been spotted in public for the first time.
The 44-year-old has seemingly returned to London and enjoyed lunch in the capital with wife Christine on Wednesday. The pair were spotted heading to The Ivy in Chelsea Garden in West London for lunch.
Frank and Christine had regularly visited the restaurant in the past before the former’s move to Merseyside. It remains to be seen how long Lampard will be out of the game.
In the aftermath of his sacking, he took to social media with an emotional statement. It read: "Coming in to Everton last year I knew we were in a tough moment and I will always be proud of the incredible work and support from everyone involved to keep the team in the Premier League last season.

"Thanks to everybody that played their part as the whole club came together. I will never forget the incredible night against Palace that we shared. I want to thank all Evertonians for the welcome that you gave to myself, my staff, and my family. It truly is a special club with a huge heart, and an incredible history.
"I’m disappointed that we couldn’t achieve more together and wish all the players and everyone at Everton FC the very best for the future."
The role with the Toffees was his third managerial of his career following prior spells with Derby County in the Championship and Chelsea.
He went close to getting promotion with the Rams with his work at Pride Park having caught the eye of the Stamford Bridge hierarchy. Lampard was appointed in the summer of 2019 as Maurizio Sarri’s replacement and led the Blues back into the Champions League despite the club being under a transfer embargo.
His second season wasn’t quite as successful with Lampard lasting only until January following a huge summer splurge to be replaced by Thomas Tuchel. Lampard remained out of the game for a year before taking the reins at Everton.
He helped the Toffees to survival during his first campaign on Merseyside but has had no such luck this season. Everton sit 19th in the Premier League having won just three out of their opening 20 games.
Lampard was sacked as a result and was replaced by former Burnley boss Dyche. He makes his debut in the Goodison Park dugout this weekend as they Everton take on table-topping Arsenal.
