Frank Lampard insists he is enjoying some time away from football amid speculation linking him with the vacant Rangers job.
The former England midfielder has been out of work since his time as interim boss of Chelsea last season.
The Blues legend was placed in temporary charge of the club after they sacked Graham Potter in April. He had previously managed the club on a permanent basis after an impressive season at Derby County. Last January he lost his job at Everton.
Reports have suggested that he may well be interested in throwing his name into the hat for the Ibrox manager role following Michael Beale's departure.
However, the 45-year-old admits he is enjoying a life free from the stresses of management.
"Yeah good, less stress," he said when asked about life outside of football. “I think it comes with the territory with managing, especially the stresses of the Premier League, the expectation, in any job.
"I think it’s important that you try and find the time out of the game to recharge a bit and enjoy things you don’t get the chance to do when you’re working, so I’m probably in that spot at the minute."
Speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, he added: "There's a balance of feeling fortunate of working in the Premier League, the expectations are great from the outside, any manager puts an expectation on themselves.
"It's not always easy because you want to be the best you can be but when you're out of a job that's your time to come away, take some perspective and realise family is the real positive of that side."
Meanwhile, Steven Davis insists football management has always been on his agenda – but not quite this soon in his budding coaching career.
The Northern Ireland midfielder was last night named interim manager of Rangers while the club looks to find a permanent successor to Michael Beale.
Beale was sacked following a poor start to the season which ultimately saw the club fall seven points behind Celtic just two months into the campaign.
Upon the confirmation of the Englishman’s departure, Davis was announced as temporary boss. He will be assisted by Alex Rae, Stevie Smith, Brian Gilmour and Colin Stewart. Rangers face two matches against Aris Limassol and St Mirren prior to the international break.
