Frank Lampard hailed his side's emphatic 3-0 win over Crystal Palace by declaring: "It felt like an Everton performance to me."
The Blues boss pointed to the desire and energy of the display, adding he was pleased by the aggression and the passing on show as his side produced an intensity that the visitors could not match and which had the Goodison Park crowd on its feet throughout the 90 minutes.
Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anthony Gordon and Dwight McNeil secured Everton's first win since the trip to Southampton and ended a run of three consecutive defeats. It took Demarai Gray fewer than 10 minutes to end the long wait for a shot on target - a wait that had extended across the previous two matches.

Speaking after the game, Lampard said the display featured most of the components he was looking to instil in his side and acknowledged the 90 minutes could scarcely have gone better - particularly after the disappointment of recent matches against Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.
He said: "It was a great performance, a big result and it is nice to have a comfortable win here at Goodison, I haven't had too many of those. I thought from minute one we were on it. It was clear to see.
"We engaged the fans, we had an energy, we were organised, there was great pressing which brought the first goal and then continued with the right things and the right things we want to do, which is important. It was important because after the last few games we wanted to show a certain direction.
"It felt like an Everton performance to me, when I say that I mean that we were really positive, we had a lot of energy, the passing was aggressive, a variation of into the front and behind, good passing and switches of play. That's what I want from the team, they know that and today we showed it all."
Palace were unable to lay a glove on Everton, who took the lead through Calvert-Lewin after just 11 minutes. Their boss, Patrick Vieira, did not hold back when asked for his assessment of his side's display. He said: “It was no performance from us. It was bad. We didn’t play. We didn’t compete and we made it easy for Everton.”
