Everton are in talks with Chelsea over the permanent signing of Michy Batshuayi, football.london understands. The 28-year-old forward is now into the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and does not appear to be part of Thomas Tuchel's plans.
Batshuayi signed for Chelsea in 2016 from Marseille for around £35million. However, Batshuayi has spent most of his time at Chelsea on loan elsewhere.
The Belgium international has been out on loan five times from Chelsea, but he could leave the club permanently this summer. Frank Lampard, who handed Batshuayi 24 appearances at Chelsea in the 2019/20 season, is interested in a reunion with his former striker.
