Frank Lampard claims the story was never ‘going to be simple’ with Dele Alli at Everton after Tottenham exit

Frank Lampard has backed Dele Alli to build on his Everton career after the midfielder’s role in Richarlison’s late equaliser against Leicester City on Wednesday.

The former England international was Lampard’s first choice as a substitute just before the hour as he chased the game but it was not until the second minute of additional time that Alli made his mark.
