Frank Lampard and members of his Everton first-team squad are to join hundreds of Evertonians at an in-person fan event in Washington DC, hosted by the popular US television show and podcast Men in Blazers. ‘An Evening with Frank Lampard and Everton Football Club, Presented by Men in Blazers’ will take place at the historic Howard Theatre in the US capital on Thursday, July 14 at 7:30pm local time.
The show will see Blues boss Lampard – who sent a video message to thank Everton fans groups from across North America when they sent him a joint letter to welcome him on his appointment – and members of his first-team squad join presenter and Evertonian Roger Bennett on stage to discuss their careers, connecting with fans Stateside during pre-season, the hopes for the campaign ahead, and more.
Everton will play the first of two US pre-season fixtures 48 hours later on Saturday, July 16 (kick-off 7pm Eastern Time/Sunday 17 July, 12midnight BST) when they face Premier League rivals Arsenal at the M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens. The Blues will then travel to Minneapolis to take on MLS side Minnesota United at Allianz Field on Wednesday, July 20 (kick-off 7pm Central Time/Thursday, July 21, 1am BST).
As part of the trip to the US, a series of engagement events and activities will be put on for Everton supporters in Baltimore, Washington and Minneapolis. More events will be confirmed and communicated in the coming weeks.
An exclusive pre-sale window for the event opened today for US-based Evertonians and members of Everton’s US and UK Supporters’ Club network, who have been contacted by email while tickets, which start from $40, will go on general sale from 9am ET/2pm BST on Thursday, June 23. Ticket details will be provided on www.evertonfc.com and across the club’s and Men in Blazers’ social channels.
