South Africa lock Franco Mostert was shown a red card during the first half of their clash with Italy in Turin, as the Springboks were controversially reduced to 14 men for the second week in a row.

Just seven days after another Springbok second row, Lood de Jager, was shown red during the double world champions’ hugely impressive win over France from making head contact with Thomas Ramos, Mostert suffered a similar fate.
