The UK Foreign Office has updated its advice and issued a warning to people travelling to France.
On Saturday, December 10, the government department added a new alert to anyone visiting the EU country. Updating its summary page, it warned about upcoming strikes.
While Eurostar is not affected by the Border Force walkout, the RMT union has announced strikes on December 16, 18, 22 and 23 for its members who are employed as security staff by private contractor Mitie at London St Pancras International.

The union said the strikes will "severely affect" cross-Channel train services. This may impact travellers using the service in the run-up to Christmas.
The Foreign Office said: "You should check the Eurostar website prior to travelling for the most recent updates to services. Strikes have also been announced on the UK rail network which could disrupt train services between the UK and France.
"Please keep checking for updates from your travel operator and plan for the possibility of disruption to your journey. If you plan to pass through another country to return to the UK, check the travel advice for the country you’re transiting."
Eurostar said "negotiations between Mitie and the union are ongoing".
