Brits heading on France holidays later this month will no longer be required to wear face masks - or need a Covid vaccine pass to access venues such as bars, restaurants, clubs and museums.
The French Prime Minister, Jean Castex, confirmed that the changes will come into effect from March 14.
France has some complex vaccination rules including currently requiring a vaccine pass to access certain venues such as restaurants, bars and hotels. The rules apply to anyone aged 16 or over, although unvaccinated children aged 12-15 can access venues with a 'pass sanitaire' aka a negative Covid test.
From March 14 these rules will be lifted, although there will be a handful of venues which still require a vaccine pass such as hospitals and care homes.

Meanwhile, face masks will no longer be mandatory from the same date. At the end of February the country already lifted a requirement to wear a face mask in outdoor spaces or where a vaccine pass had been required.
From March 14 this will also be extended to all venues, although masks will still be mandatory on all public transport in France.
It's worth noting that currently only fully vaccinated Brits can visit France for non-essential reasons such as holidays, and all travellers need to sign a 'sworn statement' before visiting.
The easing of rules will come just in time for Brits who are planning trips to France for the Easter break, whether that's a getaway to Disneyland Paris or exploring some of France's most beautiful villages.
The holiday hotspot is one of 12 countries that recently eased travel rules for holidaymakers, as it no longer requires vaccinated travellers to take a pre-travel Covid test (this applies to anyone aged 12 or over).
Meanwhile Spain eased its rules for unvaccinated teens travelling with vaccinated parents, while Greece has announced plans to scrap pre-travel forms for all arrivals. Iceland took even more drastic action; it's ended all of its Covid travel rules, making it one of three countries Brits can visit without needing any proof of vaccination or Covid tests.
It's not just short-haul hotspots that are easing up their rules; a number of long-haul destinations are also beginning to welcome back holidaymakers.
For example, fully vaccinated Brits heading to Canada no longer need a PCR test as they can now enter with an antigen test result, while Sri Lanka has scrapped pre-travel Covid tests completely.
