France Begins Withdrawal Of Mirage Fighter Jets From Chad

An F-35A Lockheed Martin fighter jet lands on a motorway, in Tervo

France has initiated the withdrawal of its military forces from Chad, as confirmed by the French military. The departure began with the flight of two Mirage fighter jets that were stationed in Chad. These Mirage 2000-D fighters took off from a French base in N’Djamena and were en route to a French air force base in Nancy, located in eastern France.

The departure of the Mirage jets was marked by a farewell from Chadian military forces, signifying the end of France's military presence in the African country. The French military spokesman, Col. Guillaume Vernet, stated that negotiations are ongoing with Chadian authorities regarding the withdrawal of the remaining 1,000-strong French force in Chad.
