France and Germany have advised their citizens to leave Iran due to heightened tensions in the Middle East. The French embassy in Iran recommended that French residents who have the means to do so should temporarily depart the country, citing the risk of military escalation. French nationals are also advised against traveling to Iran, Lebanon, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories.

French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné expressed concerns about the situation and urged caution when traveling, avoiding gatherings, and staying informed. He also mentioned plans to summon the Iranian ambassador following recent events.

In response to the escalating tensions, France's Interior Minister instructed police to increase security outside synagogues and faith schools ahead of the upcoming Jewish holiday of Passover.

Meanwhile, the German airline group Lufthansa announced the suspension of flights to several Middle Eastern destinations, including Amman, Erbil, Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Tehran. The airline is closely monitoring the security situation and maintaining contact with authorities.

U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the recent attacks on Israel by Iran, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities to prevent further escalation. He emphasized the need for all parties to exercise restraint to avoid a broader conflict in the region.

Pope Francis also appealed for peace, urging Iran and Israel to refrain from actions that could escalate tensions and lead to a larger conflict in the Middle East.
