The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees continued their rivalry last night in the Bronx with the home team running away with a 14-1 victory.
The game was aired nationally on Fox and there was a disgusting moment in the broadcast that rightfully had fans very upset with whoever at Fox Sports thought this was a good idea.
The broadcast showed a graphic of the Red Sox and Yankees logos superimposed over the 9/11 memorial pools at the World Trade Center site. I can’t believe somebody at Fox Sports thought this would be a good idea. I also don’t know how anybody didn’t step in and stop this from being aired.
@FOXSports needs to issue an apology and fire whoever made this graphic. You turned a grave site into a promo. Thousand died there and thousands have died from 9/11 illnesses. @Yankees should issue a statement as well. This is unacceptable. pic.twitter.com/OEIhbmaOhj
