Fox Announces Record-Setting Viewership for Super Bowl LVII

The Chiefs’ 38–35 victory over the Eagles in February’s Super Bowl LVII was played in front of a record audience, Nielsen announced on Tuesday.

According to the updated figures from the media research firm, 115.1 million viewers tuned in to the Super Bowl across Fox, Fox Deportes and digital streaming services.

The 115.1 million viewers set a record and made the game the most-watched Super Bowl ever, beating out the 114.4 million viewers for Super Bowl XLIX in 2015 featuring the Patriots and the Seahawks. In addition, the 115.1 million viewers represented an over 2% rise in viewership compared to last year’s Super Bowl between the Rams and the Bengals, which captured an audience of 112.3 million.

Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City captured their second Super Bowl title together in February in comeback fashion, securing the quarterback’s place among the all-time greats. The victory soured Philadelphia’s bid for a second Super Bowl since 2018.
