A second car has been linked to the targetted shooting of a man in Toowoomba's north earlier this week.
A 24-year-old man remains in a critical condition after he was shot in the head while sitting in a car on Coonan Street, Harlaxton, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Queensland Police detectives believe the attackers knew the injured man and followed his Mitsubishi sedan in a Ford Ranger ute in the lead up to the shooting.
"This is not a random attack," Detective Acting Inspector Paul McCusker said earlier this week.
The ute was found burnt out about half an hour's drive away, however, investigators have now linked a second vehicle to the attack.
Police found the Nissan Patrol on the corner of Mahogany and Poinciana streets on Wednesday afternoon.
The car had been stolen from the suburb of Felton in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
"Detectives are appealing to anyone who saw the vehicle or has relevant dashcam vision to contact police," they said in a statement.
