Four week warning issued to UK beer drinkers as grain supply threatened

UK beer drinkers have been issued a four week warning as the cost of a pint is expected to soar within a month if the grain blockade from Ukraine is not lifted.

Britain has been called out for not helping to lift the blockade. It means 25 tons of Ukrainian grain cannot travel. Boris Johnson met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and it was expected the pair would discuss the issue.

The two leaders met in Madrid and with Turkey's location to the Black Sea, they could help get the grain out of Ukraine's blocked ports. Birmingham Live reports that when asked how he would get the grain out, Boris Johnson said: "We're working on it."
