Two further Scots nurseries have been shut due to an Ecoli outbreak - bringing the total number of premises being closed to four.
The bacteria was identified in Church Street Pear Tree and Meadowpark Pear Tree nurseries in East Lothian, causing closure of the facilities with children taken to hospital. Two further nurseries - West Road Pear Tree and Musselburgh Bridge Street Private Nursery - have also closed as a precaution.
NHS Lothian confirmed symptoms of a sickness bug were reported by families, who have been asked to provide samples. There are currently 34 confirmed cases in the health board region.
All children and staff from both Pear Tree Nursery at Church Street Pear Tree Nursery and Meadowpark Pear Tree Nursery have been formally excluded under the Public Health Act and need to go through the clearance process.
Children and staff attending the Pear Tree Nursery at West Road and Musselburgh Bridge Street Private Nursery have been advised to hand in samples if they have had Gastrointestinal symptoms.
The Daily Record has approached NHS Lothian for comment.
