Early Wednesday morning, a car ramming attack occurred at a security checkpoint in central Israel, resulting in four police officers sustaining light injuries, according to police reports.
The assailant then proceeded to the Eliyahu crossing, where he attempted to stab security personnel. However, he was neutralized by the authorities, and his death was confirmed at the scene.
Emergency services promptly evacuated the injured officers to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
