Four people have been injured this evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Newmarket on Fergus, Co. Clare.
Gardai rushed to the scene of the horror crash on the R458 in Drumline this evening at around 6:10pm.
According to officers three men who were in one car were taken to University Hospital Limerick. The condition of one of them, aged in his 20s, is described as critical while the two other two continue to receive medical attention.

The driver of the second car was a woman aged in her 60s, who was also taken to University Hospital Limerick with non-life threatening injuries.
The R458 is currently closed and will remain closed overnight to allow for a full technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and so local diversions are in place.
Gardaí in Shannon are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this collision to contact them.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to come forward, and any road users with video footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
A garda spokesperson confirmed: “Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred in the townland of Drumline in Newmarket on Fergus, Co. Clare this evening, Wednesday 5th October 2022 at 6.10 pm.
“The two-vehicle collision occurred on the R458 in Drumline. The three male occupants of one car were taken to University Hospital Limerick. The condition of one male, aged in his 20s, is described as critical. The two other men continue to receive medical attention.
“The driver of the second car, a female aged in her 60s, was also taken to University Hospital Limerick with non-life threatening injuries.
“The R458 is currently closed and will remain closed overnight pending a full technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.”
