Family of four including two kids found dead in Hounslow flat named by Met Police

A family of four found dead inside their home have been named by police as devastated friends paid tribute.

Three-year-old Dawid Wlodarczyk and 11-year-old sister Maja were discovered along with their parents Michal and Monika when officers forced their way into their flat on Friday after getting concerned calls.

The cause of the Wlodarczyks’ deaths has not been revealed but the Met Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Builder Michal, 39, and cleaner Monika, 35, bought the top-floor flat in Bedfont, Hounslow, for £230,000 in October 2018.

Forensic investigators in masks and gloves were probing the West London property yesterday.

Heartbroken Maria Gouveia arrived at the scene with her daughter, who went to school with Maja. Maria, 37, said: “Maja hasn’t been at school since Tuesday or Wednesday. She hasn’t responded to any texts. When I saw the news this morning and I saw this street, it just hit me and I just start crying.”

She described Monika as “really lovely” and Maja as a “nice girl” who was “strong-minded” and “very smart” with “a beautiful smile”.

Maria added her daughter was recently at a sleepover to celebrate Maja’s 11th birthday.

Naura Hooper, 46, whose daughter was also one of Maja’s schoolfriends, said the youngster was “happy and bubbly, very intelligent, mature for an 11-year-old”.

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, of Specialist Crime, who is leading the investigation, said: “I can assure local people specialist detectives are working to establish exactly what happened. I will provide further information as soon as I can.“

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to call 101, quoting reference 5135/16Jun. Alternatively please provide information via the online form at: https://mipp.police.uk/operation/01MPS23V28-PO1.
