Four more suspects in the Michael Toohey murder case were named after being charged.
Michael, of Oil Street, Liverpool, died after being attacked in an internet café on London Road on Saturday, April 16. A post mortem confirmed he died from multiple injuries.
Four men and a 14-year-old from Kirkdale were charged with his murder following their arrests on Wednesday, June 29. The ECHO is unable to name the 14-year-old from Kirkdale for legal reasons, but he will appear at Liverpool Youth Court this afternoon (Thursday, July 14).

The four men charged on suspicion of murder are Jack Knox, 19, of Oakdale Close, David Shelley, aged 25, of Chiltern Drive, Callum Hewell, 21, of Stratton Road and Matthew Wynn, 25, of Mosslawn Road. The four men were remanded into custody and will appear at Wirral Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday, July 15.
Eight people have now been charged with Michael’s murder.
Michael Williams, 24 years, of Carlake Grove was arrested and subsequently charged on Wednesday, June 8 with the murder. He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 9, and was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on November 14.
Anthony Williams, 31, of Hillbrook Drive, Walton was arrested and charged with murder on May 17, and following an appearance at Liverpool Magistrates Court that day, he was further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on November 14.
Keiron Williams, 28, of no fixed abode was charged with murder on Thursday, June 30, following his arrest. He was further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on November 14.
A total of 15 people have been arrested in connection with Michael's murder. Three men, aged 27,19 and 54 arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been Released Under Investigation.
One woman, 34, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was bailed. Two teenagers, aged 14 and 15 and a 33-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed.
