Four-mile queues and delays on M60 near Stockport after multi-vehicle crash

Long queues are building on a section of the M60 this morning after a multi-vehicle crash.

One lane is currently shut off on the anticlockwise carriageway near Stockport at junction 27 for the Portwood Roundabout.

There are currently four miles of congestion building up to the incident. Congestion is back to junction four for the M56.

According to traffic alert service Inrix, there are also delays on the clockwise carriageway back to junction 24 for Denton Island. Drivers are being warned of delays.

In a tweet, Highways England said: "1 lane (of 3) is closed on the #M60 anti-clockwise in #GreaterManchester between J1 and J27 (#Stockport) due to a multi-vehicle collision.

"There's over 4 miles of congestion on approach, so allow extra time for your journey this morning."
