Myanmar's military junta has executed four activists accused of helping to carry out "terror acts" - the first capital punishments in the south-east Asian country for decades.
The four men were sentenced to die in January and April for helping insurgents to battle against the armed forces who seized power in last year's coup - which triggered a bloody crackdown on its opponents.
Myanmar's National Unity Government (NUG), a shadow administration outlawed by the ruling junta, condemned the executions and called for international action against the ruling military.
