Police have arrested four men on various charges, including possessing offensive weapons, in the space of just two days in Lanarkshire.
The arrests were made in relation to three separate incidents, which are not believed to be linked.
Two men, aged 18 and 26, were detained by officers at Riverside Road, Kirkfieldbank, at roughly 2.30 pm on Tuesday, April 18 for assault, causing a disturbance and being in possessing an offensive weapon.
They appeared at Lanark Sheriff Court on Wednesday, April 19.
Also on Tuesday, a 35-year-old man was arrested at around 6.15pm on Main Street, Bothwell, for assault, possessing an offensive weapon, and obstructing officers during their duty.
He appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, April 19.
A 47-year-old man was then arrested at roughly 5am on Wednesday, 19 April at Farm Road, Hamilton, for causing a disturbance and being in possession of an offensive weapon.
He appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday, 20 April 2023.
