Police arrested four men after an "intelligence operation" in Hamilton today.
Four males - aged 36, 25, and two 17-year-olds - were arrested following a probe in the South Lanarkshire town.
Several police vehicles and a number of on-foot officers were seen sealing off Quarry Street on Thursday morning.
Locals reported seeing a large police presence and a force helicopter overhead.
Several surrounding streets, including around Hamilton Central train station, were locked down by officers.
Cops are continuing to investigate the alleged incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “As part of an intelligence led operation, officers arrested two men, aged 36 and 25, and two male youths, both aged 17, in Hamilton.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
