Chelsea replaced Thomas Tuchel with Graham Potter back in September last year but things have not quite gone to plan for the former Brighton boss. The Blues sit 10th in the Premier League and are closer to the relegation zone than the top four with Champions League football looking highly unlikely next season.
Despite spending over £600million on new signings in the last two transfer windows, Chelsea look a shadow of themselves and pressure is building on Potter. Zinedine Zidane, Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique have all been linked with the manager role at Stamford Bridge as Blues fans' patience continues to wear thin with Potter.
Recent defeats against Southampton and Tottenham have compiled the miserable feeling at Stamford Bridge but Todd Boehly has stood by Potter - for now. Manchester United's improvement under Erik ten Hag - emphasised by their Carabao Cup final win against Newcastle on Sunday - has shown the Blues what they could achieve with a world-class manager at the helm, but the Chelsea owners remain in support of Potter despite the abysmal form on the pitch.

Former Chelsea icon Emmanuel Petit believes Zinedine Zidane is not the answer for the Blues if Todd Boehly was to sack Graham Potter. Speaking to Premier League Odds, Petit said: "Zinedine Zidane doesn’t speak English so he’s not the proper choice for Chelsea to replace Potter, with all due respect to my former teammate.
"Potter has been there since September - are you really going to fire him? They should stick with him as they still have the chance to win the Champions League.
"If you sack Potter, someone who comes to the club straight away will have to adapt and do the right things and fans must understand it will take weeks and weeks. I won’t judge Potter now for the bad results."
With that being said, football.london takes a look at four managers who could replace Potter if Boehly has a change of heart and sacks the 47-year-old after just six months in charge.
Zinedine Zidane
The former Real Madrid boss won three Champions League's in his two tenures at the Bernabeu but has been out of the management game after leaving Madrid in May 2021. Despite Petit's concerns over the Frenchman, he is a proven winner and could be exactly what Chelsea need at this current time given the additions they've made to the squad.
The French icon has had a lot to say about his future since leaving Madrid in May 2021. Zidane became an ambassador for Alpine and spoke about his plans for the future at the Alpine F1 car launch event earlier this month. “Now I have time, but I don't know for how long. I know I want to coach again, maybe I will have time until June, but things can go very fast — for sure, to resume coaching remains my desire," Zidane said.
Mauricio Pochettino
It had been reported that former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino had 'turned down' Chelsea's approach for him to replace Potter. Pochettino did not win a trophy during his time with Spurs but went on to win a Ligue 1 title with PSG.
The Argentine manager is renowned for developing young players into top talents, something Boehly wants the manager at Chelsea to do as part of his long-term vision. Pochettino has shown he is capable of getting teams to perform well domestically and in Europe, reaching the final of the Champions League with Tottenham in 2019.
Whilst his ties to Spurs may be a factor as to why he may not be the ideal candidate to replace Potter if he was sacked, Pochettino represents a brilliant option given the fact he is without a club at present.
Luis Enrique
Enrique has a wealth of experience in management but is yet to take charge of a Premier League side. The Spaniard is without a club after leaving his role as Spain manager following the World Cup in Qatar.
Enrique has enjoyed success with Barcelona in the past and proven he is capable of forming a title-winning team, having won two La Liga titles with Barcelona, along with a Champions League crown in 2015.
Frank Lampard
Lampard steadied the ship at Stamford Bridge after the club parted ways with Maurizio Sarri and has a higher win percentage at Chelsea than Potter currently does. Thomas Tuchel replaced the Blues legend and took the team on to win a Champions League title in 2021, but Lampard's return could be what the club needs now.
Fans are concerned with the current run of results and whilst his time at Everton did not go well, Lampard could look to improve the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, which could in turn help benefit performances and results on the pitch.
