Four Louisiana men go fishing. Then they each set fishing records after hauling in nearly 300 lbs on 3 catches: ‘The craziest day’

Men fishing near Port Fourchon, Louisiana, turned an ordinary offshore trip into a record-setting morning after landing nearly 300 pounds of trophy fish on three catches. Fishing aboard the Timbuktu, owned by Captain Joey Maciasz, alongside Captain Jason Diver, Captain Noah Callais, and angler Jake Peterson, the anglers reeled in three pending Louisiana state-record fish during the same outing.

Diver shared the results on Instagram after the trip, calling it “What may very well be the craziest day of bottom fishing the world has ever seen on film.” According to Diver and Outdoor Life, the crew caught a 131.2-pound cubera snapper. They also caught a 109.5-pound black grouper and a 30.5-pound dog snapper.
