Four Lebanese Red Cross volunteers were injured in a double Israeli airstrike on a house in Srebbine, southern Lebanon, on Sunday morning. The volunteers had been dispatched to the scene after the initial strike and in coordination with UNIFIL.
During their search for casualties to rescue, the house was hit for a second time, resulting in concussions to the volunteers and damage to the two ambulances, as reported by the Red Cross. The injured volunteers were promptly treated at a Lebanese hospital and are currently in good condition.
The Red Cross emphasized the importance of protecting volunteers at all times while they are attempting to rescue casualties. Source has reached out to the Israel Defense Forces for comment on the incident but has not received a response yet.
