On Thursday, four individuals in the northern Israeli city of Nahariyya were injured as a result of rockets fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon. The incident occurred in the morning, causing panic and concern among residents.
According to the Israeli emergency services Magen David Adom (MDA), two of the injured individuals, one aged 40 and the other in his 20s, sustained shrapnel wounds and were promptly transported to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariyya for treatment.
Additionally, MDA reported that two other individuals suffered minor injuries as a result of the rocket attack.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded to the incident, stating that approximately 50 projectiles were detected crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory following sirens that sounded just before 10 a.m. local time. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they had launched a barrage of rockets targeting Nahariya.
In response to the threat, the IDF successfully intercepted some of the incoming projectiles, mitigating the potential damage and casualties that could have resulted from the attack.
Incidents like these serve as a stark reminder of the ongoing tensions in the region and the constant threat posed by militant groups. The safety and security of civilians remain a top priority as authorities work to address and prevent such attacks in the future.
