Four in a Bed: Edinburgh B&B owner 'disappointed' as guests focus on bathroom issue

An Edinburgh B&B owner was left unimpressed with his guests' feedback after they were unhappy with a bathroom issue.

Craig Bonar was the fourth and final B&B to host in this week's 'Four in a Bed' series, as the venues battle it out to be crowned the best in the business.

With this weeks episodes based in and around Scotland, both an Edinburgh and West Lothian B&B took part in filming alongside two others.

Hosting on Monday, the Star and Garter hotel in Linlithgow had sadly pulled out of filming shortly after their turn, due to owner Denise's health.

Carrying on without them, the remaining three sites took turns visiting each other's pride and joys, with Craig, of 18 Craigmillar Park, the last to go.

Previously mentioning his military background, the guests were quick to spot Craig's attention to detail, with both couples describing their initial impressions as "precise" and "pristine."

Only a short journey to the city centre, the B&B offers rooms for around £169 per night, that includes both breakfast and a whisky tasting experience.

After taking a good look around the rooms, both couples were impressed with the decor and sound proofing, however there was one common issue that cropped up.

On inspection of the bathroom, both toilet brushes were found to be "discoloured" and "dirty", with one containing some unwanted stains at the bottom.

With the rest of the hotel being almost spotless, the guests were surprised to find the problem, but both pairs marked the venue down for cleaning on their feedback forms.

Sitting down the following day to read the feedback, Channel 4 showed Craig looking hopeful as he had impressed with both his breakfasts and private whisky tasting during the stay.

However, after seeing both comments about the toilet brush, he shared he was "disappointed with the cleanliness", but added that the rest of the feedback was a "big relief."

With the amount all of the guests have paid at each other's venues still to be revealed in Friday's episode, a sneak peak clip saw Craig questioning the toilet brush issue once again.

Both the amounts paid and the winner will be aired on February 11 on Channel 4 at 5pm.
