Four gin-based cocktails to try for an early summer vibe

Making some Instagram-worthy cocktails can be a great way to get ready for those warmer summer months that are fast approaching.

Hendrick’s newest limited edition gin Flora Adora adds that floral burst that makes it feel like summer is already here. The gin tastes like a wildflower bouquet and we even detected a subtle hint of rose when we tried it.

Hendrick's Gin have a couple of easy to make cocktail recipes that work with simple to find ingredients you can get at your local grocery store.

Wildgarden cup

Ingredients: 50ml Flora Adora, 25ml lemon Juice, 25ml Simple Syrup, 150ml Soda Water, 4 raspberries, 6 mint leaves, 3 Cucumber wheels, ice; handful of mint leaves and raspberries

How to make: Combine all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice. Lightly stir and top with soda water. Garnish with 3 cucumber slices and a handful of mint and raspberries.

For those that don't have a store-bought simple sugar syrup, it is pretty easy to make and only takes a few minutes. All you need is half a cup of granulated sugar and half a cup of water.

Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved and let cool, then pour into a glass jar and seal tightly with a lid. It will keep, refrigerated, for about one month.

Flora Adora Clover Club

This rich, fruity and tart decadent cocktail takes only four minutes to prepare.

Ingredients: 50ml Flora Adora; 25ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed; 20ml raspberry syrup; 1 egg white

How to make: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake hard until well chilled. Double strain into a chilled coupe.

Flora Adora & tonic

Ingredients: 50ml Flora Adora; 150ml Tonic Water; Cucumber to Garnish

How to make: Combine all ingredients in a highball filled with cubed ice, lightly stir and top with soda water. Garnish with a single cucumber round.

Floradora

For those that don't have the Flora Adora gin, Hendrick's has a recipe for people to try with regular Hendrick's gin at hand. While it would not taste like their Flora Adora gin, it would still make for a refreshing cocktail to try out.

Ingredients: 40 ml Hendrick's Gin; 20 ml lime juice; 10 ml raspberry syrup; ginger beer to top; raspberry garnish

How to make: Build all ingredients in highball over ice cubes, churn and serve.

If you don't have raspberry syrup, simply add a handful of fresh raspberries and 15ml of sugar syrup

Hendrick’s Flora Adora is available at leading supermarkets and off-licences across the Republic of Ireland, including Centra and Supervalu where it costs €47.00. The new gin also began rolling out in premium bars across the country from the beginning of April.
