Crews from Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been called out following a large blaze at a farm in Mindrum.
The incident is believed to have been caused by a "large quantity of straw" which had been set on fire, according to a statement on the Twitter account of Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service at 12.51am on Tuesday morning(December 27). Four appliances had been deployed to tackle the fire with the crews also working to save any live animals in the area.
The statement read: "NFRS are working with @fire_scot at an incident at a farm in the Mindrum area, there is a large quantity of straw alight. Four appliances in attendance and crews are working to preserve livestock."
Scottish Power are "monitoring the situation" but is not thought that the blaze will affect any of their services.
