Four businesses in Bristol are currently trading with a 'zero' food hygiene rating following inspections, according to the Food Standards Agency's records. Local authorities inspect food establishments to protect customers, reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses and to support the UK economy.
Businesses that receive the "urgent requirement needed" rating should then be re-inspected after a further three months to see if improvement has been made. Other businesses with higher ratings do not require such frequent inspections.
