Four men have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder after an incident in Bolton left three hospitalised.
Police were called to a site off Hall Lane at around 5:20pm last night (Sunday October 30) to a 'disturbance involving weapons'. Three men were rushed to hospital due to their injuries - one of whom was reported and taken from Church Street in the Little Lever area, where a police scene was erected at the Esso garage. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Officers say they have stepped up patrols in the area following the incident, and have arrested four men aged between 26 and 49, but enquiries are ongoing.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "We were called at around 5.20pm on Sunday (30 October) to reports of a disturbance involving weapons on a site off Hall Lane, Bolton.
"Three men were reported injured and are currently requiring hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. One of the casualties was reported to us and taken to hospital from Church Street in the Little Lever area of the town.
"Four men – aged between 26 and 49 – have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and enquiries from our Bolton CID to establish the full circumstances are underway.
"Extra patrols are in the area and any information should be passed to us by speaking to our officers or via our LiveChat facility or calling 101 quoting incident 2589 of 30/10/2022.
"Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
