Bristol festivalgoers are bracing themselves for an exciting new edition to the festival calendar this weekend with the launch of Forwards festival. Preparation for the festival began last week and as the city prepares to welcome the inaugural edition of the music event.
The two-day event, from September 3 to September 4, is replacing The Downs Festival, which was held at the same location in recent years. It will welcome some huge names in music including The Chemical Brothers, Charlie XCX, Jamie xx, Little Simz, Róisín Murphy and Sleaford Mods - more details on the line-up here.
There are two stages at either end of the festival arena on Durdham Down opening at 1pm. For those looking to plan their visit in advance, there will be 27 food stalls on site along with six bar areas to choose from.
