The latest crossover to hit the Fortnite world is with legendary Japanese visual designer Yoshitaka Amano, known for his work on the Final Fantasy series.
Just when we thought Fortnite collaborations couldn't us surprise anymore (considering adult-only franchises like John Wick and Alien are already in there) Epic Games has announced a collab with the legendary Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano. Best known for his work with Tatsunoko – creating iconic characters like Tekkaman, Gatchaman, and Casshern – illustrations for Vampire Hunter D, as well as his role as the main character, graphic, and visual designer on the original four Final Fantasy titles, Amano has now created a new Fortnite skin named Crossheart.
Crossheart is now available in the Fortnite Item Shop via the Fortnite Yoshitaka Amano Item Shop bundle, with it being announced via a video on the Fortnite YouTube Channel. While some Fortnite collabs have stuck out like a sore thumb, Crossheart fits seamlessly into the game, feeling like an in-house character made by Epic Games while retaining that signature Amano flair – two styles that couldn't feel more different, yet somehow, it works like a charm.
What's included in the Fortnite Yoshitaka Amano Item Shop bundle
The Fortnite Yoshitaka Amano Item Shop bundle – titled Amano's Heart in-game – costs 1,800 V-Bucks and features the following items:
- Crossheart Skin
Holo-Glow Back Bling

The majority of these items can be purchased separately from the bundle, with the exception of the Crossheart's Arrival Loading Screen. The prices for these items on their own is as follows.

Holo-Glow Back Bling – included with Crossheart skin
- Breakheart Blade Pickaxe – 500 V-Bucks
- Blushing Red Weapon Wrap – 200 V-Bucks
- Swoonsail Glider – 800 V-Bucks
Epic is smart to keep the loading screen exclusive to the bundle, considering the collab is with a renowned artist you can expect the absolutely gorgeous loading screen to be the highlight.
Hopefully this Fortnite Yoshitaka Amano Item Shop bundle collab proves successful for Epic Games and leads the way for further artist collaborations, a Fortnite x Junji Ito collab for Halloween perhaps? Considering countless high-profile anime series' have already made their way to Fortnite, I would personally love to see Fortnite x Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. However, they could take it further and have series creator Hirohiko Araki in for a similar collab and create an original character for the game, if he's good enough for the Louvre, why not Fortnite?
