Alright, now we’ve shaken off the awe of a new season, it’s time to get serious. Zero Week is behind us and now it’s time for the first official week of challenges for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. Things aren’t starting out soft either, you need to get out there on the hunt for all kinds of stuff. New locations, returning weapons, new vehicles, or even NPCs. You’ve also got to make use of a brand new move you may not have realised was added to the game.
We’ll explain every challenge and the easiest ways to complete them all. If you still need to familiarise yourself with the changes this season, then take a look at our season summary containing all the biggest additions.
Bust through a door at Cloudy Condos and No Sweat Insurance
Now, as a bunch of calm and polite citizens, we always close and open doors properly and respectfully, but it’s time to throw that out of the window – which is also pretty rude. Cloudy Condos is a named location in the southeast of the map that you need to use launch pads to get onto. No Sweat Insurance is the floating building in Tilted Towers. To bust through a door all you need to do is sprint directly at it and your character will do the rest.
Damage players with the Lever Action Shotgun or the Suppressed Submachine Gun
Every season a handful of weapons will be vaulted and removed from the game for a little while. However, those weapons always come back in the end, as is the case with the Lever Action Shotgun and Suppressed Submachine Gun, both of which are back this season. They have a chance to spawn anywhere weapons normally do, and you’ll need to do 350 total damage with either of them to complete the challenge.
Dislodge a runaway boulder with a slide kick
Runaway boulders have featured in many challenges over the past couple of seasons, but if you’re not sure where to find one, then the snowy area in the northwest of the map is your best bet. The slide kick is a brand new move added this season, and the best part is, you don’t have to do anything to activate it. Simply perform a slide like normal, and if you collide with something, your character will pull off the kick automatically.
Drive three different types of chromed vehicles
The Chrome Splash can be applied to walls or your character, but this challenge shows off how it can be applied to vehicles too. You can get a Chrome Splash really easily but chopping down a chromed tree, then just throw it at a vehicle and drive it.
Hit ten opponents while sliding
This can be a tricky challenge if you’re not an expert marksman, but if you keep at it you’ll hit your mark eventually. While fighting any opponent just initiate a slide and start firing at them, any hit will count towards this challenge. For the best results grab a shotgun and try to do it at close range, as that’ll give you the best chance of landing a hit.
Hunt three different kinds of wildlife
Other players aren’t the only things that need shooting in Fortnite, as killing animals can get you meat and occasionally some rare loot. If you wander around the wilds of the map – away from any named locations – you’ll find wildlife soon enough. Wolves, boars, sharks, birds, and even frogs will all do just fine for this challenge.
Purchase an item from Panther, Mancake, or The Underwriter
Three new characters have set up shop on the Fortnite map, and they’re all offering some useful stuff. You only have to buy stuff from one of them for this challenge, so here are all their locations and what they sell:
- Panther – In the gas station southwest of Shimmering Shrine – sells an Epic Suppressed SMG for 250 bars or will reveal the next circle for 175 bars.
- Mancake – Walks around the east end of Rocky Reels – sells Shield Kegs for 250 bars and The Dub Shotgun Exotic for 600 bars.
- The Underwriter – In the apartment building south of the soccer pitch in Tilted Towers – sells a Shield Potion for 125 bars or will fully heal you for 100 bars.
