The Fortnite update 24.20 patch notes have finally been released and the highly anticipated Attack on Titan crossover is about to make a big splash in Battle Royale.
The second major patch of Chapter 4 Season 2, Fortnite update 24.20, is finally here and the main addition is a new crossover with the mega popular anime series Attack On Titan. The Mikasa and Levi skins are entering the Item Shop today, and they're joined by Eren Jaeger who is now available via his Battle Pass missions. Finally, there's a duo of Attack on Titan-themed mythic items – the ODM Gear and Thunder Spears – to blast your enemies away with.
Epic Games posted the patch notes on its website, revealing all of the Attack on Titan content, as well as some other changes coming to the game, including the much-needed Kinetic Blade nerf and the return of Dirt Bikes. You'll be able to check out all of this and more when the server downtime ends at roughly 12pm BST / 7am EDT / 4am PDT.
Easter is over, which sadly means the Spring Breakout event that arrived alongside Fortnite update 24.10, is no more.
Fortnite Update 24.20 patch notes
New and returning items
Two new items are making their way to the game, both themed after Attack on Titan:
- ODM Gear
- Thunder Spears
Jaeger's Family Basement
The Jaeger Family Basement from Attack on Titan has appeared in Anvil Square in a secret location.
Unlock the Eren Jaeger outfit in the Battle Pass
The Eren Jaeger outfit is now unlockable in the Battle Pass. Complete the accompanying batch of Eren Jaeger Battle Pass quests to unlock the outfit and other items:
Eren Jaeger loading screen
Eren Jaeger Spray, Back Bling, Emote, and Pickaxe
Eren Jaeger Emoticon, Wrap, Banner Icon, and Eren Jaeger Outfit
Dirt Bikes Unvaulted
Players will once again have access to the Dirt Bikes during matches. Unlike the Rogue Bikes currently present in-game, Dirt Bikes have a jump command, but it's a trade-off as they lack the Rogue Bike's ability to boost.
Balance changes

Introduced a Rare-rarity Kinetic Blade. With identical damage to the Epic Kinetic Blade, this Rare counterpart has only two Kinetic Dash charges. Rare Kinetic Blades can be found from the ground and Kinetic Blade stands.
Reduced the max headshot damage of the Mythic Havoc Pump Shotgun.
Reduced the accuracy and hipfire rate of the Mythic Overclocked Pulse Rifle.
In Trios and Squads, reduced the number of Mythic Overclocked Pulse Rifles dropped by capturing a rifting-in POI.
In Trios and Squads, reduced the number of Mythic Havoc Pump Shotguns found inside Vaults.
Competitive notes
Thunder Spears are not included in Arena or tournaments.
Dirt Bikes are not included in Arena or tournaments.
Major bug fixes
Fixed an issue that allowed players to retain the healing effect of hot springs.
Fixed an issue involving rebooted players sometimes appearing invisible to teammates.
You have until the end of the season to complete the Eren Jaeger quests but you'll need to buy the Battle Pass first. Outside of the Battle Pass there's a Courageous Mikasa Spray that you can unlock by completing an upcoming Week 5 Quest testing your Thunder Spear skills, as well as a Scowling Levi Emoticon that unlocks after completing the first of the upcoming Trigger Happy Trials.
And once you think you've mastered the ODM Gear, you can test your skills by knocking down Titan Targets on the Island!
