Fortnite officially returns to the Google Play Store worldwide on Thursday, March 19, 2026, ending a nearly six-year absence. The global launch coincides with the start of Chapter 7 Season 2 (Showdown). Android users will get the full Fortnite experience, including Battle Royale, Fortnite OG, LEGO Fortnite, Festival, and all creator-made worlds, with one-tap install directly from Google Play.
For players who have been sideloading Fortnite through the Epic Games Store app or relying on Xbox Cloud Gaming to play on their phones, this is the convenience update you have been waiting for. For anyone who simply stopped playing Fortnite on mobile because the installation process was too confusing, one tap in the Play Store and you're in.
