"Fortnite" is at the center of yet another leak that claims its next crossover is coming, and it features one of the most popular protagonists from the 1980s who popularized the "macho" trope in film history.
'Fortnite' Leak: Next Crossover Unveiled
New leaks from leakers Wenso and DrCacahuette claim that John Rambo is going to be coming to the battle royale. All leaks and rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, but John Rambo potentially being the next "Fortnite" crossover would be an exciting addition, especially for action movie lovers.
The two leakers posted their findings on X, with the claims quickly gaining traction in the "Fortnite" community. Neither Epic Games nor the rights holders behind the "Rambo" franchise have confirmed anything as of press time, but the specificity of the leak has generated significant buzz online.

'Fortnite' x 'First Blood': Rambo Skin Coming
According to GameRant, the leaks claim that the "Rambo" crossover is expected to include three different outfits, an arrow quiver, Backbling, a Pickaxe that resembles John Rambo's knife, a helicopter Glider, and a special emote and wrap.
This would not be the character's first appearance in an action shooter game as John Rambo was previously added to "Call of Duty: Warzone" as a purchasable operator skin and was included as a playable fighter in "Mortal Kombat 11," giving him a solid track record of video game crossovers. The "Rambo" franchise has also spawned its own dedicated video game spin-offs over the years.
A launch window for the rumored crossover has not been mentioned in the leak, leaving "Fortnite" fans without a clear timeline for when to expect the content to hit the item shop.
One of the Most Popular 80s Macho Protagonists
The first "Rambo" movie hit theaters in 1982 with "First Blood," and it has since spawned an entire series filled with high-octane action. Over the years, the titular character, John Rambo, has become one of actor Sylvester Stallone's most notable roles.
"Fortnite" has previously leaned into the nostalgia factor of 80s action franchises through crossovers with the "Terminator," "Predator," "Alien," and "Ghostbusters" properties. A "Rambo" addition would continue that trend and introduce the character to a younger audience that may not be familiar with the original films.
John Rambo's video game history also runs deeper than many might remember.
Beyond his previous "Call of Duty: Warzone" operator skin, Rambo joined the roster of "Mortal Kombat 11" as part of Kombat Pack 2, released alongside "Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate" in November 2020. The addition was particularly notable because Sylvester Stallone himself reprised the role, providing both his likeness and voice for the in-game character.
The timing of the leak also connects to something happening outside of gaming, as a "Rambo" prequel film is reportedly expected to arrive next summer, and a "Fortnite" crossover around that release window would serve as a natural piece of marketing for the upcoming movie.
"Fortnite" has been increasingly used as a promotional platform for entertainment properties, making the timing feel intentional rather than coincidental.
Epic Games has not commented on the leak, and everything here remains unconfirmed speculation until an official announcement is made.
