With the unusually long Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 having fans ready for a change, you’ll be pleased to know that not only is Season 4 just around the corner but the start date for Season 5 has potentially leaked as well. Exactly what theme each season will take is still unclear, but given the time of year, there are at least a few events we can expect to see very soon.
At 106 total days from start to finish, Chapter 3 Season 3 is the third longest Fortnite season of all time, which is especially weird considering it doesn’t have any overarching plot or goal, unlike things like the war against the IO from Chapter 3 Season 2. Either way, it comes to an end on September 18, giving way to Season 4, which promises to bring a lot of cool features back to the game.
Several leaks have suggested that the next season’s battle pass will include a number of Marvel-themed skins and items, as well as a lot of unique weaponry seen in previous in-game events. Fortnite is no stranger to crossovers, of course, as the current season still allows you to get your hands on Star Wars blasters and Lightsabers, as well as the Kamehameha from Dragon Ball. Plus, as this season will run through the entirety of October, you can expect a fair amount of Halloween-themed events, with perhaps the entire season having a spooky plot.
Thankfully, this season won’t overstay its welcome, as Tom Henderson has revealed the start date for Chapter 3 Season 5. Henderson has a good track record of accurate leaks for Fortnite, most recently predicting that a Starfire skin would be coming to the game, which turned out to be true. He recently tweeted out that Season 5 will begin on December 5.
While nothing else has been said about the season yet, the timing suggests that a Christmas theme will dominate the first month of the season, at the very least. Either way, this means that Season 4 will last just 78 days, which is far more in line with the average season length. However, it does mean you’ll have less time to earn XP and get all the goodies from the Battle Pass, so make sure you follow our Fortnite challenge guides to get as much as possible.
