Fortnite undergoes a massive makeover several times a year and last month the latest one introduced a Greek mythology theme in which players battle it out as gods in the shadow of Olympus and Atlantis.
In the past, developer Epic Games has unleashed floods, aliens and all-consuming black holes on the game’s cartoonish island.
Fortnite’s constant state of flux has led to online speculation about what each seasonal update will bring. Much of this conversation is led by a fervent community of leakers, who dig into the backend of the game to unveil future content.
Now, a meaty new leak has erupted on to the scene. An image is doing the rounds on social media that apparently shows some of the biggest updates coming to Fortnite this year.
Sceptical leakers are furiously picking apart what the pic shows, while cautioning that it could be a fake. The Standard has asked Epic Games for comment.
Here’s what we know about the Fortnite 2024 roadmap leak.
What does the Fortnite 2024 leak show?
In what looks like a grainy screenshot, a series of tiles devoted to each of the game’s four main modes can be seen.
Battle Royale
Alongside a picture of the latest season, the Battle Royale section appears to show images of Mad Max in the style of Fortnite and Marvel supervillain Doctor Doom.
The former corroborates a recent theory floated by a reliable Fortnite leaker that chapter five, season three could feature an apocalypse theme. That led others to speculate that it would make a great jumping off point for a Mad Max or Fallout crossover.
Marvel also recently revealed that Doctor Doom would be the antagonist in the new Fantastic Four movie slated for 2025. The evil genius previously appeared in Fortnite chapter two, season four as a playable skin unlocked through the game’s Battle Pass rewards system.
Others have also spotted references to chapter two OG, chapter six, Pirates of the Caribbean, and a character that may or may not be Sergeant Winter.

Recently an image started to float around on 4chan of potential content releasing in each of the core Fortnite modes throughout 2024, while I can't confirm it to be legit yet, it is interesting to see some well made renders here, and we would be able to… pic.twitter.com/TgXbAoWpTW
Fortnite Festival
With season three of Fortnite Festival fast approaching, the leaked image apparently shows the featured artist who will headline the update, along with the musicians who will star in each subsequent season.
Next up, it will be the turn of wispy-voiced superstar Billie Eilish, followed by classic rockers Metallica in season four, Latin-pop queen Karol G in season five and West Coast rap legend Snoop Dogg in season six.
With Fortnite Season 3 speculated to be Apocalyptic themed, a Mad Max collaboration would be perfect, given the film releases the same day Season 3 launches 👀

Lego Fortnite
Fortnite fans have spotted two big additions for Lego Fortnite: a Star Wars Destroyer ship and a giant friendly dinosaur known as a Klombo.
Of course, we already know that Fortnite is holding a Star Wars event on May 3, which has become somewhat of an annual tradition for the game in celebration of Star Wars day on May 4. Naturally, the update would extend to Lego Fortnite, especially seeing as Lego has a history of releasing Star Wars video games.
Meanwhile, Klombos made an appearance during Fortnite chapter three, season one in 2022.
Unlike some of the other wildlife in Fortnite, the dinos were not aggressive unless provoked. Players could walk right up to them, climb on their backs and even bounce off their blowholes for a launch into the air.
Klombo, the peaceful dinasour 🔥

In this render I experimented with a ton of stuff, such as fog, clouds and of course the power of my pc 😂 I love the final look :)#Fortnite #FortniteArt pic.twitter.com/s0EgSJQrIE
Rocket Racing
The images related to Rocket Racing in the leak are more vague as they don’t contain any nods to real-life stars or movies. Instead, they seem to show possible environments for future seasons of the arcade racing mode including a volcanic temple-themed update.
Is it real?
Now, you may be wondering if any of this will actually happen? Well, we’d advise taking the latest leak with a heaped grain of salt.
Why do we say that? Firstly, the image is said to have surfaced on 4 Chan, an online forum that is known for being a hotbed of misinformation and conspiracy theories. Anyone can post anything on the dubious site, with no verification of identity or fact-checking. This means that information can be easily fabricated or misleading.
As others have pointed out, there are also some discrepancies in the individual images featured in the screenshot. For instance, the picture of Doctor Doom is apparently the same as the one used on a comic book cover, leading some to assume that it may have been lifted from there.
As pointed out by a Fortnite buff on X (formerly Twitter), the image of a Klombo pic resembles a 3D artwork created by a fan.
Thankfully, the suspense may be over very soon. Epic is expected to announce the next season of Fortnite Festival this week before its expected arrival on April 23.
If Billie Eilish turns out to be the featured star, then the leak could turn out to be true after all. If not, we have a dud on our hands. Either way, there’s no harm in playing the guessing game – and you can bet this won’t stop the steady flow of Fortnite leaks.
