A Fort Myers neighborhood is currently undergoing a cleanup operation following a devastating tornado that hit the area on Wednesday. The tornado, a result of Hurricane Milton passing through Southwest Florida, caused significant damage to several homes and fences near Lee County’s Page Field Airport.

The aftermath of the tornado left roofs of multiple homes torn apart and fences destroyed, creating a scene of destruction in the affected area. Cleanup crews have been deployed to the neighborhood located off Colonial Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue to assist with the recovery efforts.

Using heavy equipment, the cleanup crews are diligently working to remove piles of debris that litter the streets and properties. The sound of machinery can be heard as the crews navigate through the area, clearing away the remnants of the tornado’s destructive path.
